MOBILON® Tape
Nisshinbo’s “MOBILON Tape” is a transparent, highly elastic polyurethane tape that is more flexible and durable than rubber. It can be used as an apparel material with stable quality in any environment worldwide.
Features
- ✨Excellent elasticity (stretches over 5 times its length).
- ❄️Maintains elasticity even at low temperatures (-20°C).
- 💧Excellent resistance to sweat, seawater, chlorinated water, and oil. It is washable and can be dry-cleaned.
- 🌿Free of harmful substances (formalin, latex, sulfur, etc.) and plasticizers.
- 📜Complies with the Food Sanitation Act and the RoHS Directive. Certified under Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 (for baby and toddler products).
- 🌍A recycled type, made from scrap materials generated during the manufacturing process, is also available.

Applications
As a shape-retaining material for knitwear
● Thin, flexible, and highly elastic, it is ideal as a shape-retaining tape that does not compromise the texture of knitwear.
● Being transparent, it requires no color matching and can be used inconspicuously with sheer materials.
● MOBILON® Tape shows almost no dimensional change after sewing or washing.
As a material for mask ear loops and shoulder straps
● Thinner than conventional rubber strings, it provides a comfortable, gentle fit.
● It is latex-free, eliminating concerns about allergic reactions during wear.
● Depending on the properties and design of the counterpart material (e.g., non-woven fabric), ultrasonic welding is also possible.

MOBILON® Band
Nisshinbo’s “MOBILON Band” is a thin, strong, and safe polyurethane bundling band, available in transparent or a variety of colors. Unlike rubber bands, it is free of vulcanizing agents and plasticizers, so it won’t get sticky or adhere to bundled items. We offer a wide range of sizes for various applications. Safety
This product complies with the Food Sanitation Act and the European RoHS Directive. It is free of regulated hazardous heavy metals (cadmium, lead, total chromium, mercury), bromine, and phthalate esters. It contains no plasticizers, sulfur (a cause of corrosion in rubber vulcanizing agents), or natural latex found in natural rubber.
Caution
- Some stretching (permanent set) may occur after use.
- Be aware that bands may break if stretched over sharp edges.
- Store and use away from direct sunlight, fire, high temperature/humidity, and NOx gases.
- If a child accidentally swallows a band, please seek medical attention as a precaution.

MOBILON® Spandex
Nisshinbo’s “MOBILON Spandex” is a human and environmentally friendly spandex (elastic yarn) that combines eco-friendliness, functionality, and heat-fusibility. Spandex can be categorized by raw material and manufacturing method into “melt spinning” and “dry spinning.” MOBILON is a rare “melt-spun” spandex. We are developing unique materials that combine MOBILON spandex with sustainable raw materials to achieve functionality, comfort, and environmental consideration.

- 🌍Manufactured using the melt spinning method, it does not use the organic solvent DMAc.
- 💨Since there is no need to heat and remove organic solvents during manufacturing, CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced.
- ♻️A recycled type is available, which reuses waste materials collected, shredded, and melted down from the manufacturing process.
- 🌱A biomass type, using 25% plant-derived raw materials, is also available.
*What is the organic solvent DMAc? It is N,N-Dimethylacetamide, a substance that can have serious adverse effects on human health and the environment, and is designated as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC).
